The new 802.11ac products help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) design a variety of products to meet the growing consumer demand for wireless transmission of high-definition video streaming content between different devices in the home.
Broadcom's 5G WiFi portfolio has the world's fastest 4x4 5G WiFi MU-MIMO chip for home gateways and set-top boxes. The BCM4366 integrates multiple features of 802.11ac Wave 2, including MU-MIMO, which increases speed by more than 4 times. In addition, multi-radio optimization enables broadcast-quality video quality delivery in wireless networks. For the retail market Wi-Fi access point router, the BCM4366 is equipped with a powerful 1.4 GHz dual-core ARM processor BCM47094 network processor system-on-a-chip for unprecedented wireless video transmission performance.

For the first time, the two new system-on-chips combine 2x2 802.11ac RF, CPU and Ethernet switches on a single chip, reducing costs and bringing the benefits of 5G WiFi to the entry-level market.

BCM47094, a network processor system-on-a-chip with dual-core 1.4GHz ARM9 CPU, integrated Gigabit Ethernet switch with the following functions:
· High performance CPU platform for Broadcom Wave-2 5G WiFi network
· Equipped with USB 3.0 interface with 100MB/s USB storage performance (NAS)
