Quantum Microelectronics (QuarTIcs) today announced the official establishment of a video algorithm development and system engineering center of excellence in Shanghai, China. With the official establishment of the Center of Excellence, Conton Microelectronics also launched its industry-renowned programmable video enhancement technology Qvu â„¢ to consumers and original manufacturers / original designers in China, marking the beginning of Conton Microelectronics. It has entered a new stage of continuous expansion in major global markets.
The China-based Center of Excellence is an extension of Kang Teng Microelectronics ’existing global engineering operations. The center ’s business focuses on video innovation, video algorithm development and deployment, and providing technical support to Chinese customers. Currently, the center has more than 20 engineers and plans to expand to 50 employees by the end of this year.
At a time when Chinese consumers are increasingly demanding high-definition TVs, IP set-top boxes, netbooks, laptops and personal computers, Conton Microelectronics has launched Qvu solutions in China, one of the world's largest markets.
