High-tech LED: Heat dissipation is a big problem in current high-power products. Since LED module is the only feasible solution for LED street light, how does the LED module solve the heat dissipation problem?

A large heat sink will form a thermal eddy current in the middle, which is not conducive to heat exchange with the surrounding cold air. It is also intuitively understood that the larger the heat generating body is, the more difficult the heat dissipation is, and the smaller the heat generating body is, the easier it is because of the surrounding heat dissipation. If a large heating element is twisted into several small heating elements, the cold air flow can be taken between the small heating elements, the air is smooth, and the heat dissipation is natural. The use of air convection exchange for heat dissipation is currently the simplest and most cost-effective way to dissipate heat. If fans, heat pipes, hot plates, etc. are used to dissipate heat, the system becomes very complicated and the reliability is not high. To strengthen the heat convection, it is necessary to divide the module, so from this point of view, modularization can be said to be the most convenient and reliable solution to heat dissipation.

High-tech LED: The traditional street lamp uses the IP65 waterproof standard. Is the LED module the same?

Chen Kai: The IP rating of 65 is wrong, because the IP65 waterproof rating is for traditional lighting, while traditional light bulbs are generally not afraid of moisture. LEDs are electronic components, and they are very afraid of the tide. The LED components of the finished products will be vacuum-packed, and the moisture-proofing agent will be added inside. In addition, PCB boards such as aluminum substrates attached to LED devices are afraid of moisture, and the traces on the circuit boards are easily corroded and open to the road. Therefore, if the LED outdoor lighting IP level is not enough, the LED dead lights will affect the whole lamp. Life expectancy.

Under normal conditions of use, the street light actually does not last for a long time. In the 6000-7000 hours tested by Xiziguang circuit light, the junction temperature is controlled below 60 degrees, and there is basically no light decay. We use the method of accelerated aging in the laboratory to judge that our LED module can reach more than 50,000 hours. Because of the conclusion of accelerated aging, our products have been shipped in batches since the first half of 2010. So far, the customer feedback is very good, and the LED modules have almost never been returned. On the contrary, due to lightning strikes and other reasons, the power supply has some problems.
