On November 28th, LiXin, the projection equipment brand under Delta, held a new product launch event in Shanghai, unveiling its latest 4K home projector model, the HK2288. As a well-established manufacturer with extensive experience in engineering projectors, this move signals LiXin's strategic shift towards the consumer home projector market.
Instead of choosing a traditional venue, the event was hosted in a cozy coffee shop, creating a more relaxed and home-like atmosphere that reflected the brand’s focus on bringing high-quality projection experiences into everyday living spaces.
During the event, Shi Yanming, General Manager of Asia Pacific and Greater China at Luxeon, delivered the opening speech. He emphasized that LiXin has long prioritized the development of home projectors, leveraging Delta’s R&D capabilities to meet growing consumer demand. In 2017, Vivitek introduced two high-end home projectors, including the laser ultra-short-throw DH765Z-UST and the main highlight of the event—the 4K home projector HK2288, marking LiXin’s official entry into the domestic 4K home projector market.
Zhang Guohuai, the home product manager at LiXin China, then presented the HK2288 in detail and demonstrated the unit. The projector features a native Ultra HD 4K resolution (3840x2160), delivering stunning visual quality and sharp images. Unlike many competitors that only support 4K resolution but actually output 1080p, the HK2288 is truly a “real 4K†projector, offering an authentic ultra-high-definition experience.
The device also includes 12-bit color processing and HDR10 technology, enabling rich and vibrant colors when playing 4K content. With DLP DarkChip3 and BrilliantColor technologies, it achieves a contrast ratio of 200,000:1 and 2,000 lumens of brightness, ensuring vivid and bright images even in well-lit environments.
In the Q&A session, Zhang revealed that the HK2288 is priced at 23,999 yuan, a competitive price compared to other 4K projectors in the market. Looking ahead, Vivitek plans to expand its 4K home projector lineup in 2018, forming a comprehensive product family tailored for the Chinese market. While the brand will not segment users, it will make targeted adjustments based on cost-effectiveness.
