On November 28th, LiXin, the projection equipment brand under Delta, unveiled its latest home projector model, the HK2288, during a product launch event in Shanghai. This marks a significant shift for the company, as it has traditionally focused on engineering projectors. The release of the HK2288 signals LiXin's growing interest in the home projector market, aiming to meet the increasing demand for high-quality home entertainment solutions.
Unlike traditional launch events held in hotels or conference halls, this one took place in a cozy coffee shop, giving attendees a more relaxed and home-like atmosphere. The choice of venue reflected the brand’s effort to connect with consumers on a more personal level, emphasizing comfort and accessibility.
During the event, Shi Yanming, General Manager of Asia Pacific and Greater China at Luxeon, delivered the opening speech. He highlighted that LiXin has long been committed to developing home projectors, leveraging Delta’s advanced R&D capabilities to introduce a range of models tailored to consumer needs. In 2017, Vivitek launched two high-end home projectors, including the laser ultra-short-throw DH765Z-UST and the main highlight of the event—the 4K home projector HK2288. This marked LiXin’s official entry into the Chinese 4K home projector market.
Zhang Guohuai, the home product manager at LiXin China, then presented the HK2288 in detail. He emphasized that the device features a native 4K resolution (3840x2160), delivering stunning visual quality and an immersive viewing experience. Unlike many other projectors that only support 4K resolution but actually output 1080p, the HK2288 is truly a "real 4K" projector, ensuring accurate image reproduction.
The HK2288 also comes equipped with 12-bit color processing and HDR10 technology, enabling it to display vibrant and detailed images when playing 4K content. With a contrast ratio of 200,000:1 and 2,000 lumens of brightness, the projector ensures vivid colors and excellent visibility even in well-lit environments. Its DLP DarkChip3 chip and BrilliantColor technology further enhance image clarity and color accuracy.
In the Q&A session, Zhang revealed that the HK2288 will be priced at 23,999 yuan, which he described as a competitive price compared to similar 4K projectors on the market. Looking ahead, Vivitek plans to expand its 4K home projector lineup in 2018, creating a comprehensive product family. For the Chinese market, the company will focus on cost-effectiveness while ensuring broad accessibility for all users.
