Also, make sure to download the "Sofa Butler" app (link to be provided later). Additionally, you'll need the Putty software, which is available as a ZIP file named "putty.zip" (280.1 KB in size).
**Note:**
After downloading both the "Sofa Butler" and "Sofa Butler Desktop" apps onto the USB drive, rename the files to "shafa1.apk" and "shafa2.apk" respectively for proper installation.
**Step-by-Step Guide:**
1. **Open the Device:**
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws and open the device's cover. Then, connect the TTL cable to the USB port of your computer. The connection should be done as shown in the image below.
2. **Install TTL Driver:**
Insert the TTL cable into the USB port of your computer. Before proceeding, ensure that the TTL driver is installed. Once the driver is installed, go to "My Computer" > "Properties" > "Device Manager" > "Ports" > select the COM port (e.g., COM X) > click "Properties" > go to "Port Settings" > set the baud rate to "115200" > click "OK".
3. **Run Commands on the Set-Top Box:**
After powering on the set-top box, start running the commands:
- `start adbd` (this enables ADB)
- `df` (to check the USB drive path)
- `cd /path/to/usb` (navigate to the USB drive)
- `ls` (list the contents of the USB drive to confirm the files are there)
- `pm install shafa1.apk` (install the Sofa Butler app)
*If the output starts with 'S', the installation was successful. If it starts with 'F', it failed—retry the installation.*
- `pm install shafa2.apk` (install the Sofa Butler Desktop app)
- `am start com.shafa.tvlauncher` (launch the Sofa Butler Desktop)
4. **Use the Sofa Butler Desktop:**
Once the Sofa Butler Desktop is running, you can access it to download additional apps like HDP, Galaxy, Kiwi, and more!
