On August 31, Lite-On Technology held the second quarter legal person briefing. In the second quarter of Lite-On, the consolidated revenue reached 30.68 billion yuan, a 12% increase in the quarter. Through a favorable product mix, productivity improvement and effective supply chain raw material management, the gross profit margin for the quarter was 13.4%, the sales gross margin increased by 18%, and the operating net profit rate was increased under the scale of operation and cost-effectiveness. 6.6%, operating net profit increased by 35% compared with the previous quarter.
Lite-On said that it is benefiting from the recovery of LED plant capacity in Thailand, the rapid production of LED lighting modules, the smooth launch of new products for camera module mobile devices, and the continuous increase in the market share of major customers of power products, including the photovoltaic business group and power supply business group. Revenue grew by 27% and 10% respectively from the previous quarter. In particular, the camera module products under the Optoelectronics business group entered the US non-Ping tablet computer customers in the second quarter. They have started shipping in the quarter and will continue to ship in the third quarter. It is estimated that the product revenue will remain in the third quarter. Good performance in the second quarter, the current monthly production capacity of camera modules is about 20 million, which has grown by 3 to 40% compared with last year.
