Huawei actively seizes the 5G network market

Huawei has signed at least 25 agreements and memorandums of understanding with telecom operators in Europe and Asia to test its 5G devices. Let's take a look at the relevant content.

Although the United States boycotted Huawei on the grounds of "constituting a security threat", it also persuaded Australia and other countries not to use Huawei's network. Huawei has already led the global 5G market, saying that it will invest 5 billion yuan for 5G research and development this year. It has established 11 5G research centers (France, USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Chengdu, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou) and participated in more than thousands of 5G research experts.

Recently, Huawei announced that it will launch the 5G commercial chip of the first 3GPP standard (the world's authoritative communication standard). It is expected that Huawei's first 5G smart phone will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Huawei said that the 5G network, which is still in beta, will rely on denser antenna arrays and clouds to provide data speeds 50 or 100 times faster than current 4G networks, and can serve as a key infrastructure for various industries.

These agreements include BT, Bell Canada, Orange, Deutsche Telekom and multinational correspondent Vodafone.

According to the data, among these memorandums, Huawei is only behind Ericsson (38) and Finland's Nokia (31).

The existing partnership between Huawei and telecom network operators may bring more advantages to it. It said that as of 2016, more than half of the 537 4G networks in the world were provided by Huawei for equipment services, accounting for 59 of the 90 4.5G networks worldwide.

Huawei's local advantages are also obvious: Huawei, like its smaller counterpart, ZTE, accounts for one-third of the 5G network contracts, and it is not easy for foreign companies to enter domestic competition.

The GSMA, a trade organization with nearly 800 mobile network operators worldwide, said that by 2025, 1.2 billion people worldwide will access 5G networks - one third of them in China.

Currently, more than 30 global telecom operators, including Vodafone, Softbank, T-Mobile, BT, Telefonica, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, have begun testing their early 5G preparation equipment.

In terms of annual revenue, Huawei is three times the size of Nokia and Ericsson. Last year, it was about $92 billion, half of which came from China.

In addition to the UK, Germany, France and Canada, Huawei has signed a non-binding 5G memorandum of understanding with major telecommunications network operators including South Korea, Japan and Australia, Italy, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

“Huawei is trusted by governments and customers in 170 countries around the world, and there is no higher cybersecurity risk than any (telecom equipment) provider because we have a common global supply chain and production capacity.”

Bruce Rodin, vice president of wireless networks in Bell Canada, said his company used external network security companies to conduct extensive testing of Huawei products.

"We have been doing malicious code or backdoors for about 10 years," said Rodin, the US move to protect US companies. Deutsche Telekom said it cooperated with Huawei on many levels and found no evidence of security risks.

According to IDC statistics, in 2017, Huawei's smartphone shipments were 153.1 million units, up 9.9% from 2016, accounting for 10.4% of the global market share, second only to the industry-leading Samsung Electronics and Apple.

Lithium Ion Battery For Electric Golf Cart

Advantages of Lithium Golf Batteries
Lithium golf batteries (or LiFePO4 batteries) have been around for a while now on electric golf buggies, but until recently have been quite expensive. Most brands now including MGI Golf, Autocaddy, Motocaddy and Powakaddy come standard with lithium ion batteries. But not only can you get a lithium battery for a new golf buggy, there are suppliers providing them for older buggies by running on the same voltage as a lead acid battery.

Below is a breakdown of the advantages of a lithium golf battery over their lead acid counterparts:

Greater life expectancy
The main advantage of a lithium battery is the life expectancy. Whilst a lead acid battery will last around 300 cycles, a lithium battery can last up to 5000 cycles, meaning over the life of the battery a lithium is more cost effect per round of golf. Lithium batteries are maintenance free and have the benefit of a control board built in, thus ensuring worry free golfing.

Light weight
Another advantage is in the weight of the battery. A lithium battery weights on average 5 times less than a similar amp-hour lead acid battery. This makes it easier to lift making it easier to transport to other golf courses. The lighter weight also puts less strain on your buggy and therefore less wear and tear over time. This will improve the life of your buggy and mean less repairs will be required.
Short Charge Times
Charging times are also reduced when using lithium batteries over lead acid. Whilst it can take over 8 hours to charge a lead acid battery, a lithium battery can be fully charged in less than 3 hours. Lithium batteries are also able to be left off charge for longer periods of time compared to a lead acid battery. Once fully charged your lithium battery can be left off charge for up to 3 months before any damage occurs, whilst a lead acid battery will start to sulphide within 3 weeks.

Low Maintenance
Lithium batteries (Li-Ion batteries) require less maintenance than most forms of batteries. Other batteries, such a lead acid, require a periodic discharge to maintain the battery memory. This is not required for Lithium batteries, which can be left off charge for up to 3 months (once fully charged).

Lithium batteries also do not require topping up, like older forms of lead acid batteries. This means there is less maintenance required and less that can go wrong.

So there you have it, a lithium golf battery will not only last longer than a lead acid battery, but will save you time and money over its life.
