Haze and fire purifying air purification equipment: waste gas purification has hundreds of billions of market

This winter, when the air can also become "special" products, it is more important to purify than to buy a heater. The haze has brought a long-lost "spring scene" to the air purification equipment industry.

On December 6, Ms. Huang, the chief representative of Beijing Representative Office of Grand Product Center, told this reporter: “The public is paying more and more attention to air quality. Our big air purifiers have developed over the years, and the market share has been leading, but recently The amount of sales in time really increased."

In China, influenced by the level of social development and consumption awareness, the air purification equipment market still belongs to “new concept” products, and the development of this new industry is not stable.

Xu Dongsheng, secretary-general of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, said in an interview with our reporter on the 6th: “The market for air purification equipment is not mature. It has been driven by major events in the past and the red fire has returned to silence. This has led to the technical line of the product itself. Swinging."

In spite of this, some analysts pointed out that only one area of air purifiers has reached an annual output value of 40 billion yuan in 2010. It is estimated that by 2015, the indoor environmental protection industry, including air purifiers, will have an annual output value of 80 billion yuan, making it a veritable sunrise industry.

In addition to the civilian and commercial air purifier market, the greater potential lies in the fact that industrial enterprises also have more obvious demands for air purification equipment. Under the government’s policy guidance, heavy polluting companies are gradually entering new directions for forced air purification. stage.

Become popular: new areas are sought after

With the advent of the hazy days, the introduction of new PM2.5 standards has enabled air monitoring and air purification products to become popular overnight. Ms. Huang told reporters that Broad Air Purifier, as a leading product, had been through major purchases by the government and enterprises, and began to enter retail outlets and retail channels since around 2006.

“Taking the Beijing area as an example, there has been a clear increase in demand since 2007 and around 2008. Consumer acceptance requires a process, and the universal process is similar to a water purifier,” she said.

A report released by the China Environmental Protection Equipment Exhibition Network in October pointed out that in the past three years, the three major urban agglomerations of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta have seen more than 100 days of haze each year, and Dongguan and other regions have even reached 210. For several days, even the coastal city of Shenzhen has experienced 154 days of ashes.

Song Guangsheng, director of the National Indoor Environment and Indoor Environmental Protection Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, once said at an industry conference in June this year: “Four by air purifiers, air purification materials, indoor environmental pollution detection and treatment services, and pollution-free low-carbon environmental protection materials. The large indoor environmental protection industry is showing a vigorous development momentum."

With the outbreak of demand, Chinese and foreign manufacturers began to compete for the market. In addition to domestic leading companies such as Yadu, Yuanda and Gree, there are dozens of other companies that produce and supply air purifiers, while foreign companies such as Samsung, Daikin, and Sharp have also announced that they will vigorously expand the Chinese air purifier market.

Take Sharp in Japan as an example. Following the introduction of the "Plasma Plasma" air purifier into the Chinese market in March this year, Sharp also decided to establish a Healthy Environment Division earlier this month to use China as a core market for air purifiers.

Home: Immature market

According to reports, the current annual global air purifier sales exceed 10 million units, but the household penetration rate in China is extremely low, less than 0.1%, 17% in Japan, and 27% in the United States, the largest market in North America.

Compared with the market forecast of 50% growth in China over the past five years, Champion’s views are relatively conservative. The “2010 China Air Purifier Market Analysis and Research Report” released by the company shows that, according to statistics, the average annual growth rate of sales of air purifiers in China during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period was as high as 27%, becoming a new investment hot spot. It is expected that in the next five years, China's air purifier industry will maintain a rapid growth rate of 30%, and air purifiers will usher in the spring of development.

However, Xu Dongsheng, secretary-general of the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, pointed out to the reporter that the current market size of air purification equipment in China is actually difficult to grasp and judge because the air purification equipment market itself is not mature and the competition is also in a chaotic state.

“The biggest problem in this industry is that it is too concerned about the concept, just as it was originally claimed that the air purifier can remove formaldehyde and benzene, but this is only one of the functions and it cannot eradicate the problem of the material itself. Corporate publicity is excessive. There is also an error in people’s perception,” he said. “This market was basically driven by major events. The previous round of upsurge was during the SARS period in 2003.”

Xu Dongsheng refuted the claim that the market lacks uniform standards. He told reporters that the current national standard for air purifiers is the GB/T18801-2008 “Air Purifier” revised at the end of 2008, and there are disputes over the determination of the company’s performance indicators, but “there is no standard”.

According to reports, the China Household Electrical Appliances Association established a preparatory committee in 2011 to apply for the establishment of a second-level professional committee for air purification equipment. Currently, it has obtained approval from the civil affairs department and is expected to be officially established early next year. Xu Dongsheng said: "We hope to guide the industry in the right consumption."

Industry: Lack of investment motivation

Compared to the domestic and commercial markets, the market for air purification equipment in the industrial sector is even broader.

Some experts estimated that taking the power desulphurization equipment as an example, the average annual market size during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period is estimated to be around 13 billion yuan; the size of the bag dust removal market will also be as high as 60 billion Yuan during the “Twelve Five Year Plan” period. 120 billion yuan.

“The first Meros sintered exhaust gas purification system outside the European market that Siemens sold to Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. can meet the European standards of PM2.5 and PM10. The purification effect used by the steel mills can even be better than the outside air.”

On December 6th, Si Yuyou, general manager of the Metallurgical Technology Department of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., gave an example in an interview with this reporter. “Air purification equipment in the industrial sector is not a problem in terms of technology and technology, but there is only a threshold for market promotion. ”

He said that China's sintering waste gas purification market has a share of hundreds of billions, but due to the industry's survival in a meager state, the company's investment in environmental protection equipment is insufficient.

At present, the iron and steel industry has fully implemented the desulfurization of sinter flue gas, which has been included in the State Council's “12th Five-Year Plan” Comprehensive Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Work Plan. During the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the country's key control over desulfurization will be transferred from the field of thermal power in the last five years to the steel industry.

Of the more than 1,200 sintering machines in the country, the proportion of sintering machines that have built desulfurization equipment accounts for less than 15% of the total.

But Ding Yi, deputy general manager of Maanshan Iron and Steel Group, once told this reporter that even if companies actively invest, but because “only social benefits, no economic benefits”, if the country can not emulate the partial subsidies of thermal power to steel companies, the pursuit of environmental protection equipment, It is also difficult to form a climate.
