Tanggang Pohang (Tangshan) New Light Source Co., Ltd. was established by Tangshan Chuangyuan Fangda Company and Pohang ICT Company with a total investment of 61.26 million yuan. Tangshan and Posco jointly invested and managed and was responsible for sales in the Chinese market. The product is positioned as a high-end LED lighting product with energy saving, longevity and high efficiency. At the same time, it will provide users with engineering integration services such as energy diagnosis and energy saving scheme design and construction.
Product design and technology keep pace with Posco LED, introducing Posco LED's original "smart freezing technology", which greatly reduces the volume of the heat sink, successfully overcomes the failure of conventional LED lighting products due to heat and floating dust, and at high temperatures. Compared with similar products, it has the advantages of high reliability, long life and easy promotion; light weight and low cost advantages. The main products include industrial and mining lamps, street lamps, tunnel lights, panel lights, strip lights, downlights, bulbs, LED tubes, spotlights, etc., a total of more than 170 categories of 9 categories. The designed scale is 379,000 sets with an annual output value of 207 million yuan.
Pohang ICT-LED not only has its own R&D organization, but also has close cooperation with the Pohang Institute, Pohang University of Technology, Seoul Semiconductor, etc. Its LED lighting production technology is in a leading position in the world, and it is registered in Korea. There are 179 technical patents and 58 technical patents applied abroad. In 2012, the proportion of patents applied to products was as high as 79%.
