The frequency of the electric light source power supply is low, such as incandescent lamp, high pressure mercury lamp, high pressure sodium lamp, metal halide lamp, straight tube (inductor) fluorescent lamp. At this stage, most of the 50Hz power frequency sinusoidal alternating current directly supplies power to the electric light source illuminator. The frequency is 50Hz×2=100Hz, and the sine wave is fluctuating regularly, and the power supply voltage of the electric light source fluctuates greatly. At present, the instantaneous voltage value of power frequency AC in China is between 10% and 20%, which greatly increases the stroboscopic depth of the sine wave with a frequency of 100Hz.

The performance of the electric light source technology is backward: the incandescent lamp is a radiation source that directly heats the filament, and the luminous power of the illuminator must fluctuate with the sine wave law of the frequency of the power supply.
