The product infringed by Nichia is an office lighting product using Zenaro's white LED fluorescent lamp (product model: SL-Cobra/T5 048DC/C/P10/LF/D50/ZN) (product model: OL-Deluxe/QL2/P44) /LF/D50/SR/M/CE/ZN). Nichia believes that the white LED fluorescent lamp and the office lighting product equipped with the fluorescent lamp infringe on the YAG patent EP 936 682 (DE 697 02 929) held by Nichia.
On April 24th, Nichia announced that it had filed a lawsuit against Everlight and its German subsidiary Everlight Electronics Europe GmbH on April 18th to the German District Court of Dusseldorf. Nichia believes that the white LED products manufactured by Yiguang (product model: SMD Low Power LED 61-238/LK2C-B56706F4GB2/ET) infringe the YAG patent EP 936 682 (DE 697 02 929) held by Nichia.
In addition to Everlight, on October 28, 2011, Nichia filed a complaint against the LED bulb products manufactured by Taiwan’s Cansun Netcom’s Japanese subsidiary Tsann Kuen Japan Electric Appliances against the company’s patent No. 4530094 on November 28, 2011; November 2010 Nichia filed a complaint against the two white LED products (No.: "HT-V116TW", "HT-U158TW") produced by Taiwanese LED manufacturer Hongqi to the Dusseldorf District Court in Germany for alleged infringement of its patent rights (EP936682[DE69702929] ]).
