MAX3541 Primary Frequency Conversion TV Tuner

The MAX3541 complete frequency conversion TV tuner is designed for analog / digital terrestrial receivers and digital set-top boxes. The TV tuner is powered by + 3.3V and consumes only 760mW.

The MAX3541 can convert PAL signals or DVB-C signals in the 47MHz to 68MHz, 174MHz to 230MHz, and 470MHz to 862MHz bands into 36MHz intermediate frequency (IF) signals.

The MAX3541 includes a variable gain low noise amplifier (LNA), a multi-band tracking filter, a harmonic suppression mixer, a low noise IF amplifier, an IF power detector, and a variable gain IF amplifier. The MAX3541 also integrates a single-chip VCO, resonant circuit, and complete frequency synthesizer. This highly integrated device implements a board-level low-power tuner without having to consider the cost and power consumption issues in the double-conversion tuner solution.

The MAX3541 operates over the -40 ° C to + 85 ° C temperature range and is packaged in a 48-lead, lead-free flip chip (fcLGA).
