Littelfuse, a global leader in circuit protection solutions, has recently introduced new additions to its TVS Diodes (SPA Diodes) family: the SD and SD-C Series 450W decentralized unidirectional and bidirectional TVS diodes. These advanced devices are specifically engineered to safeguard electronic systems from damaging electrostatic discharge (ESD) and surge currents caused by lightning strikes. With their fast response time, these TVS diodes offer an excellent alternative to multilayer varistors (MLVs) in low-speed and DC applications.
The SD and SD-C series can safely absorb repetitive ESD shocks at ±30kV without affecting performance, while also handling surge currents of up to 30A.
