1 kW LED lamp will be on the market

LED high ceiling lighting fixtures with the same brightness as a 1 kW metal halide lamp will be on the market on January 15, 2013. Its life expectancy is 60,000 hours, which is about 5 times that of metal halide lamps.

This product was introduced by Toshiba Lighting Technology. It is mainly used in high-ceiling spaces such as large factories and warehouses. It achieves the same brightness with 412 watts (average power consumption is 365 watts), and its power consumption can be reduced by about 65%. The product is equipped with an initial illumination compensation function that suppresses excessive brightness at the beginning of use and maintains the same brightness at the end of its useful life. In addition, a built-in continuous dimming function of about 5 to 100% enables further energy savings.

In addition to the 1 kW product, a small, lightweight product equivalent to 250 watts (103 watts, with an average of 91 watts) and 400 watts (206 watts, with 182 watts) will be on the market. It is understood that its brightness products are available with two kinds of light distribution models, namely wide-angle light distribution to brighten the wall surface and so on to enhance the sense of brightness, and the light distribution of the middle angle, which focuses on the ground illumination.
