The object of the National Security Agency's (NSA) Prism project was first disclosed.
According to Intercept, according to documents provided by leaker Edward Snowden, the Facebook account and Gmail account of Tony Fullman, a New Zealand resident born in Fiji, were monitored by the NSA.
Foreman is an active supporter of democracy and he opposes Fiji's military rulers. But the New Zealand spy suspects that he is planning a violent revolution in Fiji, so the NSA and New Zealand spies have taken action to put his life in chaos. His foundation’s phone was eavesdropped in 2012, his police raid in his home in Australia, and his passport was confiscated.
During this time, New Zealand spies asked the NSA to monitor Foreman's external communications records via Gmail and Facebook accounts.
The NSA listened to Foreman through the Prism program. According to a slide revealed by Snowden, US spies can directly access data provided by companies such as Google, Facebook and Yahoo.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote in 2013: "Facebook does not currently and has never participated in any plans to give US or other governments direct access to our servers." Google also published A similar statement.
Judging from the communications records obtained by the spies, there is no evidence that Foreman is planning an event to overthrow the Fijian government.
But now we can see what the Prism program can access in a user's Gmail or Facebook account.
