TE Connectivity announces the introduction of a new solderless SMIZ LED socket designed specifically for the Sharp Mini ZENIGATA to provide customers with a reliable "plug and play" total solution. The addition of this new socket will add a new layer of color to the application of the TE solderless LED socket series; it also provides customers with a complete solution to realize TE's commitment to the future of solid state lighting.

TE's new solderless SMIZ LED sockets provide a mechanical and solderless electrical connection to the two-position socket. Solderless connections are not only convenient but also fast to connect. The chip-on-board LEDs use a solderless connection to achieve a uniform, reliable connection without special skills. At the same time, it also reduces the damage caused by the high temperature during the welding process or the splash of the flux on the LED light-emitting surface. This socket mechanically secures the LED and uses M2 screws and a house locator to help properly position the LED heat sink.
The solderless LED socket SMIZ is RoHS compliant and has a variety of applications including:
