Application of Pro-face Man-Machine Interface on Injection M

In the modern society with a wide range of goods, plastic products have become a common product in people's lives. Therefore, the machines for manufacturing plastic products, injection molding machines, are increasingly appearing in various types of factories. Dedicated robotic arms have also been used more widely. The robot arms for injection molding machines are very complicated to sort according to the types of materials they pick up, the shape of the materials, and the needs of the process. It is mainly composed of four mechanisms: the main arm, the auxiliary arm, the lead puller, and the horizontal traveler. The lower end of the main arm is connected with the tray for gripping the main part of the plastic product, and the lower end of the auxiliary arm is connected with the fixture for gripping the material part of the plastic product (material head: the surplus part left over from the injection molding product). The function of pulling and pulling is to extend the main arm and the auxiliary arm into the working surface of the injection molding machine, and then to transport the formed product to the designated position by the transverse section. The control system uses Yaskawa Motion Controller MP2300 and Pro-face man-machine interface GP/ST3000 series. See the system diagram.

The use of traditional manual robot arm adjustment methods is not only inefficient but also has poor accuracy. Using Pro-face human-machine interface product GP/ST3000 series, the operator will set the parameters of each arm on the human-machine interface GP/ST3000 series through a very intuitive screen. When the motion arm starts to move, the spindle encoder rotates along with the motor shaft, and the position information of the motion arm is transmitted to the Yaskawa Motion Controller MP2300. In this way, the GP/ST3000 Series can obtain the motion arm from the Yaskawa Motion Controller MP2300 in real time. The location information is displayed visually through the screen. The operator can intuitively see the current position of the hinged dragon from the GP/ST3000 series and adjust it in time by setting parameters.

In addition, when users use Pro-face products to connect with Yaskawa Electric products, they can also use very effective functions:

Pro-face designed a wide range of example components for a wide range of controllers on the market for users to download from the Pro-face website during screen programming, such as the example components of the Yaskawa Electric MP2300 (see Figure 1), Pro- Face configures the communication parameters related to the MP2300 and GP/ST3000 series. The customer can select the MP2300 part directly during screen programming, which can greatly shorten the time of screen programming and directly read through the GP/ST3000 series human-machine interface without programming. Write or monitor the corresponding parameters of the MP2300 series (see Figure 2 and 3).

Fig. 4: PLC program without PC transfer

In order to improve the convenience of on-site maintenance, Pro-face provides on-site solutions for transferring PLC programs without PCs. Maintenance personnel can carry PCs and store the Yaskawa Electric MP Series PLC program on a CF card or U disk. , Bring to the field directly into Pro-face GP/ST3000 series human-machine interface, through the man-machine interface to transfer the PLC program to the MP series, see Figure 4.

Pro-face's “Through Function” (see Figure 5) enables easy commissioning of the PLC ladder program through the GP/ST3000 series human-machine interface, thus enabling PLC commissioning to be performed at any location, with Yaskawa Electric products. For example, Pro-face's GP/ST3000 series human-machine interface is used to connect the MP2300 series controllers of Yaskawa Electric. The engineers can directly debug the ladder diagrams of the MP2300 series controllers through the man-machine interface through Ethernet on the office computer. Real-time adjustment of data changes due to changes in production plans.

In this application case, the Pro-face HMI and Yaskawa Motor Controller were used to make the electrical system simple and uniform, complete in function, and the machine also had better maintenance for the customer, which greatly improved work efficiency.
